Clean Up Artist | 2D Animator | Illustartor

I had the opportunity to work as a Clean-Up Animation Supervisor on the Clashter Pieces project by Supercell, in collaboration with the team at Histeria! Studios. It was a great honor to be part of such a talented team, directed by Chico Bela, with art direction by Lorena Piloreta.
As a supervisor, my role involved helping define the project’s line style, ensuring visual consistency. I was also responsible for guiding the team to maintain high quality and cohesion throughout the film, from start to finish, as well as acting as a communication bridge between the team and the directors.
Additionally, I supported the team with suggestions and ideas, always aiming to bring the final result as close as possible to the client’s expectations.
I developed all the necessary materials to guide the team throughout the project, including detailed instruction PDFs, tutorials, visual guides with examples, and do’s and don’ts documentation. I also established guidelines for scene exports and for the proper use of tools within Toon Boom Harmony.
I was responsible for creating the color palette directly within the software, as well as setting up scenes by organizing drawings and internal nodes for each sequence.
I also contributed to planning layer structures and internal scene breakdowns, ensuring they met the requirements of the next stage, the compositing department (comp).
Additionally, I developed styleframes for all scenes, providing artists with a clear visual reference for the expected level of quality and final look for each part of the project.
In a specific scene of the project, it was necessary to develop a distinct line style, more dramatic and artistic, to convey the emotional intensity required for the character.
Following an anime-inspired visual direction defined by the art direction, I was responsible, as Clean-Up Supervisor, for translating this vision into a technically feasible approach, establishing how this aesthetic could be achieved within Toon Boom Harmony.
To accomplish this, I created two tests: one representing the beginning of the scene and another for the final moment. These served as visual guides for the clean-up artist responsible for the entire sequence, ensuring consistency and alignment with the intended style.
Finally, I was also responsible for the clean-up of the character model sheets, ensuring line consistency, clarity of shapes, and alignment with the project’s defined style.
